Had catheter ablation in March, nothing to worry about. You will be semi sedated, i drifted in and out of sleep through mine. It lasted about 3 hours but felt like 10 mins. My incision sites healed very quickly, although tender for a few weeks after. I stayed in hospital overnight and returned home next day and was up and about carrying on as normal. The one thing i would say is do prepare yourself for the fact that it may not work first time, mine hasn't, however symptoms have improved to how they were before. They will get you to sign a disclaimer re the risks of surgery which sent me into a blind panic ready to bolt home, but they are very unlikely and you will be in good hands, so don't worry too much about this. It will be a lot less stressful than you think, i am waiting to have mine repeated, so that says it all. Get in touch if you have any other questions.
