About Indian Heart Foundation

"Unless Life is Lived for Others, it is not Worthwhile" - Mother Teresa

"So the heart is the beginning of life, the Sun of the Microcosm, even as the Sun deserves to be called the heart of the world; for it is the heart by whose virtue and pulsation the blood is moved, perfected, made apt to nourish, and is preserved from corruption and coagulation; it is the household divinity which, discharging its function, nourishes, cherishes, quickens the whole body, and is indeed the foundation of life, the source of all action." - William Harvey, 1628

Heart disease is number one killer and a major cause of disability. The most common cause of Heart disease is narrowing or blockage of blood vessels that supply blood to the heart. This is called Heart Attack. You can reduce your risk of heart disease by controlling your blood pressure, lowering your cholesterol, quitting smoke and doing physical exercise regularly. We created this site to provide reliable and trustworthy patient specific information about all medical diseases affecting Heart and Blood Vessels.

Indian Heart Foundation is a health based social network of people sharing their Heart Disease experiences, treatment options, knowledge and giving support to other people suffering from similar health problems. Its a place to talk about how to live well with Heart Disease, ask questions, share information about what is working for you, get sympathy, exchange ideas, request and recommend the best doctors, support and friendship from other patients suffering from Heart Disease. When you share your Heart Disease Experiences on Indian Heart Foundation, it makes you feel a little less alone. By sharing your Heart Disease experiences, you can help others and improve their quality of life.

Social support includes emotional support such as love, trust, and understanding, as well as advice and concrete help, such as help managing your time. Your family, friends, and Indian Heart Foundation community all can do this. They can make you feel cared about and feel good about yourself, and can give you hope.

Ask yourself where you get your social support. You may be able to forge a closer relationship with family members or friends. Maybe you know someone who you'd like to know better. By joining Indian Heart Foundation, you can find a group of people with the same interests you have. You may get social support by making friends at Indian Heart Foundation.
