swelling in the legs

I have completed 3 years of my 5xcabg.  Veins were taken from both legs  below the knees.  So far not much problems, but for the slightly uncontrolled diabetes.  Of late my feet are getting swollen, especially while sitting at the office. By evening it gets swollen pretty well.  By morning it is almost normal.  Can anyone advice regarding this problemRegards  See More

I replied to your other post in our cardiac group.I'm sorry about your swelling , I can relate ! I really think it has a lot to do with our diabetes, and I have more swelling in the harvested leg than the other .Are you on water pills ?Les .

Glad to hear you're doing well. I joined this group to get info for my dad. He had a triple CABG two weeks ago. Age 74 and diabetic and already had 7 stents. He had a heart attack and then they did surgery 2 days later. He was out of the hospital in 5 days and seems to be recoving well. His main complaint is no appetite and he says food just has no taste.....anyone else experience this?

U method finds heart disease earlier

By: Kali Dingman   Coronary heart disease is the second leading cause of death in Minnesota. Cardiologists, like Daniel Duprez, hope to stop this trend by using a different scoring system to detect heart disease before it attacks. As February marks American Heart Month, University of Minnesota cardiologists are tooting the Rasmussen score, developed at the University, as a more effective scoring ...

More Doubt on Link Between a Blood Chemical and Heart Disease

TUESDAY, Feb. 21 (HealthDay News) -- Having high levels of the amino acid homocysteine won't raise your risk of developing heart disease, a new analysis indicates.

Infection, snoring, even diet soda may play havoc with your heart
