Necessary Bypass or Stent Operation

Friends,I am still blogging at www.allheartmatters.com and recently attended a writer's conference at the Iowa Writing Program/Carver College of Medicine. Landmark research that should have changed the way doctors treat millions of heart patients with clogged arteries has had little effect -- many still don't first try medicines that sometimes eliminate the need for costly, invasive procedures, a study suggests. The Empty Heart

I recently wrote a deeply personal essay about my heart surgery that was published in the Yale Journal for Humanities in Medicine. I wish to share it with others since it's about how a child's love can restore health and fill the heart again. The operating history reveals that I bled out; lost all of blood but Eli's love saved me. Thank you.James BortonSee More

Excellent Source for all

I am a triple bypass heart survivor. My surgery was not seamless and my heart bled out. Yes, I lost all of my blood when I was taken back to the ICU and my chest had to be reopened. I have written about this and other matters on my blog, www.allheartmatters.com. I have been seeking such a site that enables heart patients to connect with one another and share their stories. Has anyone else experienced a surgery where they bled out. I ended up in a…See More
