"I have just joined this group I was born with pulmonary stenosis and an asd. I have heart surgery when I was 8 years old and then had it again last year for a avalve replacement, they repaied another valve and closed my asd."

About Me
I was born in 1986, with the congenital heart disease Truncus Arteriosus Communis + ASD and VSD.

So far I've gone through 4 open-heart surgeries:
1986 - ASD & VSD fixed, new conduit inserted.
1998 - Conduit replaced.
2000 - New aortic valve inserted (xenograft/pig valve).
2003 - Conduit replaced.

And today...
2009 - Aortic insufficiency, enlarged left ventricle, atrial flutter
(waiting for a fifth surgery)

He has went thru 3 sets of quad bypasses. then aortia valves the saint judes valve failed. they then put a pig valve in. all has went good for the past ten years this past fall they installed a pace maker. He now has the FLU and they are going to put a new pace maker in thru the leg/groin area.Is this something new? He has also had the artery in his neck and a brain anurisum clipped. He still is active and gets around good. He hunts/ fishes/Walks/.His mind is still sharp.If anyone has any info on the pacemaker in the leg please let me know.
