dose adjusting Metoprolol
50 mg of Metoprolol brings my blood pressure down too much to where I am very drowsy.My cardiologist advised I try half , which was too little, so I went with a half, and half a half, for a 3/4 of a 50 mg dose. This worked well for a long time. I later had to reduce more, and split the 1/4 in half, for an effective 5/8 dose.I just reduced again recently, now taking mainly a half dose at 25 mg.Has anyone else had drowsines issues with it ?See More

- Survivor of an emergency triple bypass Friday the 13th, January 2006. Blockages of 99%, 99%, 80% on the three cardiac mains, with a dozen other 80% blockages on smaller arteries that were inoperable. Blessed to have a capillary level collateral network throughout my heart that saved my life.
I've recovered well, exercise regularly, work full time at an office job.
