Thanks, Deb, That is very good advice and I appreciate it. I have to learn to trust my Doctor, I will give it a try, the worst that could happen is that, I get dizzy spells, and at that point I'll know if I can tolerate the medicine increase.…

i have a question about the heart going below 60 bpm, my doctor wants to up my medine to 50mg and i told him its already at 60bpm at rest. he said thats why you take it twice a day your bp and bpm wont go down much more than that..Im scared.

Now Im taking 25mg of antenolol a day and feel alot better from taking 12.5 mg but still getting extra beats and rythem problems with the heart.  Seems to happen before my menstrual wich is weird to me.  I would say the medicine is helping it, but when I excersize or go swimming I notice I get them more the next day, and its all day long, extra beats.....but without the medicine it would probably be alot worse....Now the doctor wants me to up my medicine to 50mg of antenolol but my bp is…See More

skip beats/arrythmias

i still get skip beats and i just started taking 10 days ago antenlol 12.5mg a day.  still have same problem but it lessened its not a terrible feeling when i got them they were pretty intense before the medicine now they calmed down but still get them.  its not a miracle pill, which worries me, because will i always have this? will it ever go away? i wonder if that ep study really works? my doctor is thinking about doing it on me.  they say its a 80% success rate but i might be that 20% that…See More

hi mary. my problems are like yours and i take metopolol. i also have a icd. i seem to be doing fine for 2 years now. i had tachycardia and suffered a cardiac arrest.
