Marissa Naidoo Me

Hey All :)

Well for the first time I'm actually blogging for real so this is really daunting. Anyways, I should write about my first "proper" review of this site. It is a great site and with many people on it. At first I thought maybe I wouldn't be accepted into this wonderful community, and although I still am on the outskirts of it, this website has allowed me in. But I guess the most impressive thing about being accepted into this foundation is I found what I have been searching…

Daniel Goldberg The Amazing Story of John Zerbini

The old adage of, “a promise is a promise” does not seem to hold much weight anymore.  Friends, significant others, professionals and politicians all seem to make promises they can never keep.  However, in the case of John Zerbini, 36, a promise was the only hope he had to relieve the unrelenting pain he had been struggling to live with for the past 6 years.

By all outward appearances John was the American dream.  A husband, a father and the owner of a multi-million dollar…

James Borton The Empty Heart

I recently wrote a deeply personal essay about my heart surgery that was published in the Yale Journal for Humanities in Medicine. I wish to share it with others since it's about how a child's love can restore health and fill the heart again. The operating history reveals that I bled out; lost all of blood but Eli's love saved me.

Thank you.

Venkateshwar Rao Mamidala Heart Blocks

The heart has four chambers. The top two are called the atria. The bottom two are called the ventricles.

The heart's "natural" pacemaker is called the sinoatrial (SA) node or sinus node. It's a small mass of specialized cells in the heart's right atrium. It produces electrical impulses that make your heart beat. For your heart to beat properly, the signal must travel from the SA node down a specific path to reach the ventricles. As the signal goes from the atria to the ventricles, it… Continue
