Support Group for People suffering from Heart Diseases

Friends,

I am still blogging at www.allheartmatters.com and recently attended a writer's conference at the Iowa Writing Program/Carver College of Medicine

Landmark research that should have changed the way doctors treat millions of heart patients with clogged arteries has had little effect -- many still don't first try medicines that sometimes eliminate the need for costly, invasive procedures, a study suggests. Does anyone think that they may have had unnecessary bypass or stents inserted?

Look forward to your comments.

Hi James,

I've recently translated into Chinese the guideline on myocardial revascularization, co-developed by European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS), its online version is at http://ejcts.ctsnetjournals.org/cgi/content/full/38/S1/S1, in which says for the choice of PCI vs. CABG vs. OMT, what factors shoud be considered, very detailed.

It is the guide for doctors to determine the method of treatment for specific patient.
